I'm probably going to disappear for a bit

Unless something miraculous happens, we're going to lose our internet service. We just don't have the money to keep paying for it. Al losing his job last fall, combined w/ a boat-load of veterinary bills and we're in the position where we have to set our priorities and our cable/internet/home phone is at the bottom of the heap.

Although we're looking into alternatives, we're not quite at the point where we know what we're going to do, or whether or not we can afford it.

So, if I disappear, it's not because I don't like this place. You all have been kinder to me than I could begin to acknowledge.

Not saying "good-bye." Maybe I'll bring my laptop over to my folks house when I go there to cook a couple of times a week.

I would hang out at Hardee's for two or three hours in the morning, for the price of a dollar biscuit and a senior soft drink, just to use their free WIFI.

It helps keep you updated on what's going on and connected with the DU community.

things improve soon, MissMillie. I was in the same boat as you many years ago, deciding what I could do without. I hope you find a way to keep up here because I’ll miss your posts!
