The world is about to end

There’s no other explanation. The best team in baseball right now is the Mariners. I am very happy, but also confused: they’ve never been this good for this long, and 2019 was billed as a “rebuilding year.”

They're regularly scoring 9 to 13 runs per game. It's astounding to look at the scores and see another big night at the plate for the Mariners. Encarnacion and Domingo Santana have been hitting a ton. Surprising pop from Tim Beckham's bat as well. And where the hell did this Daniel Vogelbach come from???

I can't imagine they'll keep hitting at this pace for too much longer, but it's been quite a sight while it's lasted.

Marco Gonzales has been really good on the hill as well.

I'm excited that they're doing well right now, but they're past-masters of blowing big leads. So I'm not optimistic about their season-long chances.

For some reason, every time I walk into what's now T-Mobile Park, the Mariners lose. I figure it's me.
