My cat Ziggy deserves an Oscar

Post-neuter update:

Mr. Whiskers was immediately back to his cheerful, lovey self. He's such a joyful little guy.

Ziggy, however, has been such a drama queen!
He was faking a limp last night.

I know he was faking because when he was cruising around the house he had no limp whatsoever. Guess he didn't realize I was watching him all night.

But whenever I tried to call him over to make friends, he'd limp oh-so-pathetically in my direction. Then pass right by me without stopping. It was ridiculous and impressively dramatic.

He's back to normal (er ... normal for him) today. He's been sitting in my lap and making happy purrs so I think I've been forgiven. No sign of a limp, either lol!

Don't think they don't know just how to extract attention and sympathy. Oh yes they do!

he got a lot of attention, sympathy and treats. Long after the paw healed, the dog would limp when he wanted attention - but sometimes he'd forget which paw to limp on.

You called him a drama queen so I'm not sure which he/she is.

They didn't even get stitches, which was new to me. In the past, all of our other guys got a few dissolving stitches to close the incisions. The doc said it heals so quickly there's really no need for them. I did a check up with the flashlight a few hours and both are healing nicely.

a 2 year old male from a vet's office. They had just fixed him. He was all battle-scarred and traumatized. He could not always contain his aggression. He softened up over time but I think it is a much happier life to be fixed from kitten age.

he is really hard to describe. It's like he lives on another plane or something. He is either really affectionate or mad about something. Still love him though.

... well, just the cutting of the string down there. And like your cat I will really milk this for sympathy!
