Never understood how humans can be so cruel to these beautiful animals.

The very idea of circuses comes from the 19th century, and the abuse of animals (and humans) continued for over 100 years. There's no need for this, and it's not entertainment anyway. Who wants to take their kids to see tortured, caged animals performing unnatural tricks?

It's better to educate children with images (books, movies or videos) of animals in their natural habitats so the kids can learn about nature and the environment. Families who live near cities may be lucky enough to have access to wonderful habitat-friendly zoos where kids can see the healthy exotic animals close up.

Circuses should be banned, and in many places they are.
