I work for a local elected official and am a Democratic committee member so I often petition and canvas voters.
So I dreamed that I was walking through a neighborhood I have canvassed and petitioned in before. And I turned off one street, and at the end of the street, there was a huge cliff. Like white cliffs of Dover huge!
(The area is hilly, but there are no cliffs)
So, I start walking and there are people milling about and all of a sudden, a small plane comes over the cliff and crashes on the street.
No one but me reacts. I call 911 but I don't know the name of the street, so I ask all of the people around, who are all blase. And i say what is the name of this strret? I'm frantic, the plane is in pieces and no one will answer me. So finally after i ask again, what is thr name of the street, someone says Beautiful! I said beautiful is the name of the street?? And he said no, it's just a beautiful street. And then i woke up!
What the heck???

(2,220 posts)but one of the themes in my dreams is that I need help with something important, and the people around me are not responsive at all, much like what you describe in your dream.
I'm no expert on dream analysis, but in my case I interpret that as what it seems to be---needing assistance and nobody noticing or caring.
I feel sure there are deeper meanings to be had, such as gestalting all the people in the dream as yourself, meaning that you really need to do something about a problem but just aren't noticing or caring about it. And your primary self is distressed that you can't seem to see the obvious or act on the issue.
If I am to believe my dreams by this interpretation, I must be the Queen of Denial about things I need to be addressing, and to be honest, I probably am.
How about you?
