What do your pets do in thunderstorms?

We had a loud one go through yesterday, and my two cats reacted this way:

Charlotte the calico during a building-shaking boom looked up, said "Was that thunder?" and went back to sleep.

My little black female Raven laid on my lap, but at full alert, and grabbing my hand at random for head-petting and reassuarance.

1. mostly mine just get curious about the noise but i have two fosters and no telling what they will do

..thank god we only get a boom about once a summer. I have lots of hemp oil for dogs.

2. The dog used to get really scared and shake as he had been rescued from an earthquake as a

lost survivor. He was in horrible shape when a rescue team found him, we adopted him. The cat just looked around and wondered WTF the dog was so upset about!

3. Used to have one that would hide for days. Current cat hardly

notices thunder, but people — other than those he knows well — scare him to death.

4. My dog and my cat both hate thunderstorms and try to hide somewhat. The dog will nervously move

between each of her three beds as each peal of thunder takes place. The cat tends to run upstairs and hide in the dirty clothes basket in my closet.

5. The cats flick their ears a bit if there's loud thunder.

Otherwise they don't pay any attention.

6. My dog goes to ground....

under the bed, and won't come out for hours.

Fireworks are even worse.

Oh, and sirens! Whoooo watch out, it's howling time!

9. Tosca the young husky

looks nervous about both fireworks and thunder. I reassure her, and she's okay, the sweetheart.

I like thunder, but having suffered a sizeable gash in the forearm from a small explosive at a ZZ Top concert in '76, I can do without the fireworks.
