Happy Birthday, Peter Frampton

!). A major influence for every suburban long haired garage band guitar player across America via Humble Pie and his early solo albums

2). "Frampton Comes Alive"...other than "Rumours" and a handful of other albums, how many artists pulled off that kind of success?

3). "I'm In You" and the Sgt Pepper movie...you know, it's not the mistakes that matter, it's learning from them

4). Breaking All The Rules, 1981...Peter plugs back in and re-discovers his mojo

While I acknowledge it's easy to turn away from some of his missteps, how the hell do you not love this guy? A legend, and...from what I understand...a humble gentleman.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Frampton started opening for Rod Stewart in the 70s.

"Peter Frampton, '70s icon whose "Frampton Comes Alive" is still the best-selling live album in history, is just having some fun."

I imagined myself up on the stage performing "Do You Feel Like We Do" in front of throngs of adoring female fans. Unfortunately, I never learned to play the guitar, so that didn't happen.

Anyway, Happy Birthday to an honorary member of San Francisco society, Mr. Peter Frampton!
