Jupiter - visible with the naked eye this month!!!

If I see one more news story say this ridiculousness I'm going to lose it...anytime Jupiter is visible you can see it with the naked eye, it is super fucking bright. And you can always see it's moons with binoculars. So dumb.

Jupiter is so bright that it is often visible in cities with horrendous light pollution. You can see the sun, the moon, Jupiter, and Venus if you have a decent view of the horizon. Even when you can't see anything else.

Me, I love looking at the stars which is part of why I live in Santa Fe.

The way up. It will be the brightest thing there.

You should be able to see Saturn, Mercury, mars, and Venus also all with the naked eye when they are up, though Jupiter and Venus are the brightest.

Software like Google sky makes it easier as you can just point your tablet or phone up at the sky and it tells you what you are looking at.
