Need some BBQ/grilling advise

Since we’re buying a house my in-laws are going to buy us a grill. Not much of a griller so I have to ask, is this the thing now?

That is a bomb strapped to the side of your house just waiting for a stray bullet, lightning strike, or whatever. I highly recommend removing that thing post haste. Nothing wrong with the setup, but it does need some space between it and your house. Good luck.

To BBQ indoors all you need to do is punch a hole through the roof to let the smoke out and not forget to open the window to let the air in. Otherwise you might die.

And it's probably best to use natural gas rather than propane. If there is a natural gas leak it will go out the hole in the roof because it's lighter than air.

Propane is heaver than air and will pool around the floors and possibly blow your house up. That's why they get so upset when you bring an "empty" propane bottle into the store to exchange it.
