My mom passed away today at 92
She had been failing badly for the last 3 months or so. She hadn't been able to eat for almost a week and it is really a blessing she is out of her misery now. Her mother passed away when she was 6 years old she only completed the 6th grade then went to work doing housework for her room and board until she married my dad at 21. She loved FDR and was a staunch Democrat all her life.

Sorry she had so much suffering.
The only thing good about suffering is that it makes
it easier for someone to let go.
It's so tough to lose your Mom, no matter how old you/she might be.

My sympathy to you and your family and all who knew and loved your Mom. I hope all the good memories you have of her life will help to soften the last few months of her suffering and will bring you comfort.
I am very bad at words of comfort, but wish I could say something that could make you feel a little better -- that's just impossible though. It's so very hard losing someone close to you. And the world is surely a colder place when an FDR dem passes. Your mom sounds like pure gold.
I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost people suddenly and slowly and both ways suck.
