...aren’t the ones I just bought? If I buy Puffs, don’t give me coupons for Kleenex. If I buy Haagen-Dazs (sp), don’t give me coupons for Blue Bunny. Etc, etc.

It seems the coupons that print out with your receipt are never products I use. About once every two months or so I get a customized pack of coupons in the mail that are based on my purchases & we use almost all of those.

they make a deal with the store to give you a coupon when you buy a competitor's stuff.

If they gave you coupons for merchandise they had, then they'd have to discount that merchandise.

This way, they don't have to, so they can pass the savings on to you!

order stuff you want?

Stores order stuff because it sells or because manufacturers buy shelf space.

Coupons are just cheap advertising-- most are just thrown away.
