PBR Hard Coffee creating a buzz in Maine test markethttps://www.pressherald.com/2019/07/24/pbr-hard-coffee-creating-a-buzz-in-maine-test-market/
Just weeks after hitting the shelves, Pabst Blue Ribbon Hard Coffee is creating a buzz in Maine.
The coffee, malt liquor and milk concoction, with 5 percent alcohol by volume, came out in early July and some stores have struggled to keep it in stock. Maine is one of just five states where Pabst is testing the beverage.
It has been the hottest item of the summer, said Tony Olmstead, a general manager for Roopers Beverage and Redemption chain with six locations in Lewiston, Auburn and Oxford.
Customers cant get enough of the sugary, creamy beverage, Olmstead said. Some people tell him they like to add a shot of whipped cream-flavored vodka to boost a marshmallow taste and add a kick.

(25,183 posts)I've had a slew of coffee-infused stouts and porters, and I'd bet they taste better than any PBR-made beverage.
Yes, I'm a beer snob and probably a coffee snob, too.

My favorite is Ommegang's Chocolate Indulgence.

I work for a software company where a full third of the engineering department are brewmasters.
And easy access to a dozen or so craft breweries.
And a couple of subway (T) stops from Meadhall in Cambridge Mass.
But I'm always open to new experiences.

(25,183 posts)If you find yourself in the western part of the state, try Brick and Feather. They do some awesome IPAs, which are in my wheelhouse of flavor preferences.
You're lucky to have such co-workers! Back in NJ, I was the beer nut in the customer service department. Most were content with Corona, etc.

They let them taste all the beers. I tease her and say she gets paid in beer. She really liked the Hard Coffee but she thought it tasted more like a latte.
