in the crow/raven family and are quite intelligent. Not as social as crows but I can't say this completely surprises me.

and the Blue Jays really wanted to bond. We would let them loose and I would be out close to the woods, and one would come over and talk to me and get close. We were told to ignore them so they would not continue to depend on humans or connect to us. So I would ignore them in the woods.
