the canister from a hand-crank ice cream maker full of vanilla ice cream.
My mom and grandma made peach cobbler in a rectangular baking dish. Living not too far away in Tennessee, they would get fresh Georgia peaches each year and can a bunch of them for pies all year round. I can almost recall the smell in the kitchen and a big pile of peelings and peach seeds.
They also often made peach and apple turnovers in a cast iron skillet that were to die for.
Lordy, how I miss those times.........
