I'm having "one of those days"
I caught a whiff of something disturbingly pungent coming from the laundry room utility closet, that doubles as a root veg storage space. I knew it was a long missed and forgotten potato (or two) so I had to start pulling things out to find the source of the offensive stench. Then, since things were moved, I decided to sort, reorganize and toss, and also mop the closet floor. That led me to realize the whole laundry room floor needed a good mopping but I decided that could wait.
Next I did laundry. As soon as the laundry tub started to fill, a PIPE BROKE, spilling all of the water onto the floor. I grabbed towels, anything I could find, and called for help. Off to the store where we bought the wrong pipe so repair will have to wait until the weekend, but I did manage to finish the wash cycle by plugging the drain in the laundry tub and bailing out all of the rinse water.
Long story short, the laundry room floor did end up getting ‘washed’, today.

in spite of the circumstances!
It’s always something when you own a home, right? I swear just when I have a couple bucks saved, something breaks. I should probably mop ,y laundry room floor too.
