They opened for Violent Femmes.
It was a great show!
I've never seen them, hope I get the chance some day. A friend of mine who lives in LA says Jon and Exene still play together there pretty regularly.

And it definitely was better before they voted for whats-his-name.
I also loved when they recorded with Dave Alvin as the Knitters. What a fun band.
