What if Ferris Bueller was all in Cameron's head?

What if, like Fight Club, the driving force that wakes up the main character is only in his head?

Sure, there's holes big enough to drive a Ferrari through, but with a little re-edit it could be done.

And discovered that the actor who played Cameron was 30 years old at the time of the movie! Incredible!

Also, apparently Allan Thicke did not play Ferris Bueller which is what I've always believed.
