looking forward to the next season. Last night I saw Netflix has another season of Shameless and
the Ranch to watch in the meantime.

(8,203 posts)A true story of Israel's most prominent spy, Eli Cohen, who infiltrated the Syrian government in the 1960s - Cohen does a really good job as a dramatic actor..I had to shake off his funny guy to get started..was pleasantly surprised...

I thought this might be a drama like Yellowstone on Paramount with Kevin Costner that has been all the "rage" lately for atypical fare from a tiny network. So, I watched. My heavens, I could NOT get past the cheesy as hell laugh track. So, it is supposed to be a comedy...? I kept going for 15 more minutes, but omg, that laugh track and I found nothing even remotely funny.
Not for me, I guess.
That said, I will try Mindhunter. Thanks.

(23,586 posts)Watched the whole 1st season. But it really was like a dime a dozen situational comedies, and not a good one at that, at least in my opinion . Took the easy way put for laughs, did obvious jokes and innuendos. The scenery was second rate, equivalent to a local theater's scenery done by volunteers. Was actually surprised it came back after the Danny Masterson situation. But it's gone on for 4 seasons, 7 series, 70 episodes, with the 8th series' release TBA, so it must have an audience.

Like the old Dragnet series it was like they took real cops and had them act out the show. They had robotic moves and vocabulary. Just the facts maam.
