"Switzerland appears to be one of the most pet-friendly countries in the world, and a 2008 animal right law there makes it illegal to own one guinea pig at a time, as it can become lonely.

"Guinea pigs are very common pets there and the Swiss adore them, treating them as family members.

Switzerland is an amazingly small and beautiful country. Not surprised they would have all kinds of rules
and regulations about animal rights. They also have very strict laws about other things too. We can appreciate
this news while our country under the craziest President ever is rapidly losing control over vanishing species
not to mention environmental protections that affect the habitat for wildlife in our country.
What's also cool about der Schweiz is that the Palais des Nations (original headquarters of the
League of Nations of the 1930s) is located in the city of Geneva...where the 2nd largest UN office
building sits too.
