I've had several dogs and only my husky does this.

Some people have even taught huskies to say a few words.

who were taught how to howl at an early age.

Give them a squeaky toy, and listen to the synchronised howling!

They are not huskies.

I read somewhere barking is a recent thing in the domestication of the dogs.

listen to, the little girl, not so much. It's cute but the high pitched voice of the child was like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. Yeow.
