I promised him pancakes for breakfast. He's sitting in the kitchen and we're chatting while I mixed up the batter. When I poured it out into the hot skillet he was alarmed.

"Granny, what are you doing to my pancake?"

It was then I realized that he had only had pancakes from the microwave.
