Netflix "Unbelievable"

Anyone watch this series? It's excellent. We are half way through it and I am constantly observing the sense of entitlement most of the men have. Then there's the hunt for the serial rapist leading us to many horrible examples of misogyny in our every day life. A few really stay with you. And the hivemind mentality throughout has never seemed more disturbing to me. And it all seems to be part of 2019 politics. Truly nightmarish.

the first episode was so hard to watch with the male detectives. I almost didn't want to watch the rest. It was very good. recommend.

Been watching the rest of the series and almost done.

It is good.

based on a true situation, and it was really infuriating how the cops (and just about everybody else) treated Marie.

also infuriating is how these databases aren't shared between states so it makes these serial rapists harder to find. and the detectives have to work harder to see a pattern.

So far, the one guy with the tattoo on his leg rang the most true and infuriating.

Can't imagine us ever making the headway we need to make to become a more safe country for women. Are 40% of police domestic abusers? Hard to say. Could be higher considering where we are today.

I am halfway through. I was saddened, infuriated by the male detectives and their treatment of such a young girl. Also, am having issues with the two foster parents. Really like the two actresses who are portraying the female detectives. Strong, compassionate, dedicated women in real life solved the crime. Thankfully, they were involved.

Kaitlyn Dever ( Marie Adler), Toni Collette(Detective Grace Rasmussen) and Merritt Wever (Detective Karen Duvall) should all be nominated for Emmys as should the series itself.

The acting all around is top-notch, but I really thought that Merritt Wever and Kaitlyn Dever were just phenomenal.

This season's Mindhunter was excellent, too. Netflix has been hitting them out of the park lately.
