How much?
I live in Wisconsin, so I'm used to October snow, and rarely, September snow.
It's getting cold here in Sheboygan already. Low 50's tonight.

(14,892 posts)fall is definitely upon us (beyond the calendar), we've got highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s all week upcoming, and today was blustery as F--k.

I'd say it's earlier than usual. We had a mild summer, but a disappointing September. This is usually my favourite time of year with mild, sunny weather and gorgeous autumnal colours, but I fear November came early this year.
I don't like complaining about the weather, but I'm always glad to do so.

My brother is arriving tomorrow from Phoenix, where right now it's the same temperature with lower humidity. Last I looked, we've had 1.3 inches of rain through September. August saw 3 inches.

Daytime temps were generally in the upper 90's there, and I still felt comfortable thanks to the low humidity.
As soon as I stepped off the plane during my return to Ohio, a wave of wet and warm air hit me. It felt like I was about to enter a wet jungle in the middle of Summer! I could feel my clothes absorbing some of the moisture!
The temperature in Ohio was in the lower 80's at that time, but it felt FAR worse than the "hotter" SW USA.

(14,852 posts)... the Winter feel colder. Ugh.
I guess we should try to appreciate no shortage of fresh water around here, unless industries try harder to pollute all of it.

(14,852 posts)I'm sure that temps will suddenly plunge thereafter. We'll again go directly from Summer to Winter.
No real Spring or Fall seasons anymore, it seems.

(7,143 posts)Aaaaaaaaargh!

(14,852 posts)I won't mind those temps at all, however.
As far as Winter goes, what I hate the most are the ice-covered roads. I'd rather drive on snow than the skating rinks we get around here.

(16,368 posts)I can remember it snowing on September 13th once. Like you, our nights and mornings have been fall-like for a few weeks now. It did, however, get up to 88 today. It cools off quickly once the sun goes down.
