What a Heartwarming Moment: Dad Opens Stuck Jar Lid for His Daughter on MasterChef Junior Brazil. I played this million times.
A great dad will step in and save the day when you most need it - even if that's during the final of Masterchef.
In a live TV broadcast of the Brazilian version of the show, Elisa Fernandes started struggling to open the the lid of a jam jar, after its contents had crystallised on the rim.
As the 24-year-old becomes visibly distressed, she looks desperately to the viewing balcony where are family are watching.
Help, dad! Sidney Fernandes steps in to save the day
They shout advice as she attempts to dislodge the lid using a huge butcher's knife.
After trying and repeatedly failing, Fernandes runs up to her father Sidney for help - and the lid pops off in his hands to cheers from the studio audience.
The strong-armed doctor dad has become a viral hit in Brasil, and his heroics went some way to ensuring his daughter won the Masterchef final.
