experience with serving sizes? I will have 10 or so hungry teens to feed, plus a couple of parents, and need to know how many 3' hoagies is reasonable. http://www.subway.com/subwayroot/Catering/cateringproducts.aspx

(2,682 posts)and served a six foot sub sandwich. It came on a wooden plank. I think we had 20 adults and a handful of children that night and the thing was nearly gone by the end of the party. I think the sandwich can be extended by the volume of side dishes you offer. I just had chips and veghie dips with the sandwich being the main feature.

(49,445 posts)the party subs were said to serve 3-4 per foot. they made the party sub bread by defrosting the loaves of regular bread and weaving them into a big loaf. Like a french braid.
Unless they've changes things, get a 5-footer.

(68,644 posts)That would be enough for 12 foot-longs, one per hungry teen (ten or so).
Or for 12- six inch sandwiches and two three footers for me!

If you can get Subway to put them on the side, black olives and/or sliced pepperoncini are also good
for that.
