Charlie Sheen rant: Staples Center defends keeping him out
The actor was barred from re-entering Staples Center after he stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, a decision defended Thursday by arena officials.
Michael Roth of AEG, which owns Staples Center, said signs inside and outside the arena state that once people exit the building, they are not allowed to return. There are places where smoking is permitted inside Staples Center, he said.
The policy, which Roth said was used at "nearly every other venue where tickets are required for entry" is designed for for the "safety of fans."

When Sheen was denied re-entry, he delivered an expletive-laced rant, which was caught on camera by TMZ crews.
