1. Nope. It is 17 degrees here and I spent an hour and a half at the hardware store

looking for tools that I don't have (digging for gold and gems) that will be handy when the snow melts. I came out of the store and it was … snowing.

I can smell the flowers from here.

4. Yeah, it's wintery here too. Tree took out our power this afternoon. My dad was

a rock hound. Loved digging and panning. Used to go to the annual Maine rock and mineral show with him when my boys were little. Lots of fun!

2. Bougainvillea are in bloom right now. I see them out my window.

And of course, poinsettias are in bloom as well; hedges of them waist high or taller.

5. I can't imagine a poinsettia hedge, other than banks of them for sale in pots.

This is in California, but you see the same or similar in South Texas. From San Antonio on down.

3. Why not? My milkweeds are blooming. Usually they are frozen to the roots at this time.

The paper whites that used to bloom in February have been in bloom for at least two weeks.

8. I just noticed crocus shoots popping up this morning around my house in W. N.Carolina

Abnormally warm weather even into 60's some days and well above freezing most nights over past couple of weeks.

After all, it's 8 days past Christmas, the Christmas stuff is still on the streaming services and that stuff has been running since 11/1/19.
