A 'cyber-friend' is a VW fanatic, won't shut up about how disappointed he is that they sell more models in Europe than the U.S.

I like them too; had a Rabbit, and Jettas, but never drove the Beetle.

I had a '58 for several years. Much later I bought a Type3 and had it for a long time, my mother had one too. My mother, now in her 90s and her partner have a beetle that he keeps in excellent condition and still drives it around. This ad reminds me of him. Unusual commercial.

The ad doesn't impress me, and I want no part of a Volkswagen/Audi car.

I sold it in 1986, and I have regretted it every day since then.

The car I presently own, a 2013 Hyundai Accent, is being bought back by Hyundai Motor Corporation next week. My car is a lemon!

I thought back to that wonderful Super Beetle, and started searching online to see if I could find one to purchase.

When I bought my 73 Super Beetle, I paid $2,300 for it.
Some years ago I did an internet search and found a bug for about $8,500. So what did I find on my most recent search? $19,500 for the same bug! O u c h!

Anybody have a time machine?
I need to go back to 1986.

all the damn big cars that really y'all don't need and you know who you are.

First nasty statement of the new decade. The ice is broken.
