They're in cahoots with the raccoons to tip over trash cans. It's possible they can tip over trash cans themselves, but I haven't seen that.

They've raised one brood that I've seen.

I know when they are around because the crows hate them and make a lot of noise trying to chase them off. They ignore it. The crows make a big show of dive bombing them but never get too close.

Sometimes I see our raven couple in the trees overlooking our backyard, talking to our dogs, possibly asking them to tip over trash cans or hunt down a deer. They really are that smart.
