The credit card companies take between 3% and 7%, and when I make contributions to things like planned Parenthood or NARAL or Greenpeace, the last thing I want is for Mastercard to be grabbing a chunk of it for themselves. Act Blue is worse because they take 3.95% in addition to what the credit card companies take. Some candidate rakes in $20 million via Act Blue? $1.6 million of that got split evenly between Act Blue and VISA (or whoever). No thanks. I'm happy to write the check.

Has literally never sent a check through the mail to pay a bill. We were talking about this the other day. He does have checks, buried in the back of his desk drawer somewhere.
