Can anyone else relate? My favorite flavor is Pineapple Peach or Tart Cherry.
The more kick-fizz it has the better.

(7,390 posts)Oh, something new for you.
It takes a few times of trying it and then you get addicted.
It is fermented black tea and made with various flavors. It non-alcoholic and fizzy. The fizzy is the best part.
It has gut-healthy probiotics.

(7,390 posts)The liquor store has an alcohol version of about 2% alcohol.
The ones sold in stores have no alcohol.
Yummy and it is good for you gut.

(7,390 posts)What to recommend? I can only go with my personal favorites. I like the really fizzy ones with some sweetness.
I have tried a few and always come back to:
Kevita - Master Brew Kombucha
Pineapple-Peach or Tart Cherry
It is odd at first and took me a few tries with it. Also, I don't drink it all at once. I take a swallow or two and put it back in the frig.
Enjoy!

(23,322 posts)I love it too. I like ginger green tea. Lots of tap rooms have it around here.

(14,764 posts)All you need is the SCOBY (symbiotic combination of bacteria and yeast), tea, sugar, and fruit.
Its pretty easy.
The sugar ferments into lactic acids, not ethanol. It is an acquired taste, but good for you from a probiotic pov.
Not in the least bit alcoholic. Wrong yeasts.

(14,764 posts)You need to add a limited dose of sugar as you bottle. Think of it like root beer.
You add food (sugar) to the yeast just before you seal the jar/bottle.
The yeast eats the sugar, burps out co2, and fizz ensues.
Too much sugar and you have a fridge grenade. Too little and no fizz.
Start small. Get a good seal, and add sugars as you ramp up.
Sugars can be fruit, honey, or anything sweet. I use fruit.
