But then, three mornings later, she woke up and immediately started doing exactly this. She ran up and down the hall and jumped on the and gave us kisses. It was amazing. I thought about it and realized that she hadn't been at any house longer than three nights since her first owners gave her up. So once she was at our house that long, it seemed to dawn on her that she was finally in her forever home. Ever since then she's been the happiest, most affectionate little girl I could ever hope to have.

Yay for rescues!

I love her to the moon and back. Every night she curls up next to me and I can't believe my luck.
