(24,007 posts)We just watched the newest Star Trek offering, Picard. We really enjoyed the first episode.
He is also smart and compassionate. It is very moving to listen to him talk about the abuse his mother endured, and how he works now to help women because he couldnt do anything to help his mom when he was a lad.

(28,941 posts)He's had a starring role in my mind theater ever since I watched him in I, Claudius.
He also has compassion for his father. The man suffered from PTSD, thanks to combat in WWII. Back in those good old days, there was very little understanding or help for the condition. The men had to suffer as did many times their families.
