Butterscotch went over the Rainbow Bridge today. Only cat I know that took down 2 intruders!

He was 17.

He was my brother's cat, but as a close family, I spent a lot of time with him.

My brother had two home invasions in two different locations during Butterscotch's time.

Both times, the intruder stumbled over Butterscotch's water dish, alerting my brother to a stranger in the house!

(first time, the guy was drunk and had walked into the wrong townhouse. Second time was an attempted burglary, after a few tense moments and some yelling by my brother, the would-be burglar took off).

OK, maybe giving Butterscotch credit is a stretch, but it was fun family joke.

He also posed for an award-winning photo by my sister-in-law.

Happy tails, Butterscotch, until we meet again.....

I was sound asleep
when she jumped on my chest a couple of times. Woke up to see flashing red lights coming thru every window. Jumped out of bed and saw them responding to the House next door. If it would have been my house, I would have been saved. I sleep better now. I think she knows I rescued her. Got to love them. P
