Just saw this. Water coming in cardboard containers!

I've never seen this before. Apparently it is sustainable because for every 3 trees that are cut they plant 4 new ones and the packaging is 100% recyclable.

(I wish there was a way we could post pictures without having to load them first in a photo storage place. Like Facebook and Twitter now you just have to copy and paste them. I'm also writing this as a suggestion )

I am not in any way connected to this product.

EDIT: Sorry. Had I looked before I would have realized they only deliver to African nations.

NEVER had a box leak or break, and I've been buying this packaged wine for 20 years. Gee, I can't believe it's been around that long!

expensive. I didn't realize there was an $18 shipping fee on the Walmart ones and at Amazon they are way too high.

I think it would be a great thing for one of our Dem reps to start looking into this thing to try and wean the public off of its plastic addiction. There is really no reason for the high prices except being a new industry and/or price gouging.

I don't buy plastic water much. I keep refilling the ones I have and I have some bottled that are made to keep.

I buy soup in boxes. And always milk and o.j. and other juices and iced tea in cartons. 👍

I found processed/cooked pinto beans in a bag. No can!

Only these are more expensive.

contains 16oz. I think and you csn get whole, diced, crushed, & pureed. They're the great San Marzano tomatoes and make terrific sauce or whatever you're making using tomatoes. It's also very easy to store. Takes a lot less room than cans.

They say that the inside of the boxes has layers of polyethylene and aluminium foil. It's not clear to me whether the layers are bonded or not.

How are they recycled? My recycling center will take cardboard, aluminum, and many type of plastic, but I don't think they'll take them if they're layered together in one product.

At least the wine boxes have easily separated plastic bag + cardboard box.
