Side effects...

Androgel. It increases testosterone levels.
I'll pass.

"There are some side effects that can be seen with the use of Androgel. Nausea, vomiting and headaches may occur. You may feel dizzy or notice you are losing your hair. Insomnia has been reported along with skin color changes and acne. A change in sexual desire may occur as testosterone levels normalize also. Breast size may increase. If you have any signs of an allergic reaction, you need to seek medical immediately. Diabetics also need to take care when using this medication as it may decrease blood sugar levels.
Caution Must Be Taken When Using Androgel

Although Androgel is very helpful in treating men with low testosterone, if others come into contact with the medication, they may experience androgel side effects. This is especially worrisome when it comes to children as they may be more sensitive to the effects. Bone growth may be affected if they are exposed to androgel so monitor the height of your child on a regular basis. Women may also have androgel side effects. Discuss this with your doctor before you determine if this is the right medication for you.

Signs of puberty that are not expected have happened in young children who were accidentally exposed to testosterone through skin-to-skin contact with men using topical testosterone products like AndroGel 1.62%.

Women and children should avoid contact with the unwashed or unclothed area where AndroGel 1.62% has been applied. If a woman or child makes contact with the AndroGel 1.62% application area, the contact area on the woman or child should be washed well with soap and water right away.
