(4,112 posts)so I know I grabbed a red cotton cable knit - v-neck. Much more comfy. Video conference calls later, so I have to be somewhat presentable. If it weren't for three of those a day, I'd happily stay in jammies.

(12,051 posts)short-sleeved T-shirts so I never have to wear anything else for the duration! I had to supplement my old clothes so I won't look totally like a bag lady when I go to the grocery once a week.

(9,272 posts)Now that Im retired the daily clothes are jeans and a turtleneck (plus sweatshirt or sweater if really cold), warm weather jeans and a T-shirt. Bra only if leaving the house. Back in the old days (when I could leave the house) Id wear jeans and a nicer top or sweater for church and community band rehearsal. Seems like years ago.

(5,810 posts)we were not allowed to look at our hands. We had to look at our text that we were practice typing. So most people who took touch typing can type with their eyes closed. Of course, that assumes you start off with your hands/fingers in the right place. 😉

(9,732 posts)The Royal manual typewriters had all blank keys, so looking at the keyboard did you no good anyway. I didn't make the switch to an electric typewriter until 1982, and reluctantly even then.

(16,937 posts)(boy, how dumb was that ) and was one of the best out of the whole group because I had several years of piano already.
For the piano I'd fold a newspaper (ask a friend if you don't know what that is) behind the "dust cover" and cover the keys so as not to watch the keyboard.
With a typewriter I'd put an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper over the hands and type away.
As for the original question: I'm doing my part to conserve: Very little laundry and almost forget what a razor does!
