Okay, time once again for...Name That 80's Song Lyric!

It's been a long, long while...

Here's how:

Post a line or two from a fairly well-known song from the 80s. Don't make it too hard or something obscure, but don't give us a gimme, either (e.g.: "Might as well JUMP!&quot . Make sure you have the lyric correct.

For the guessers--Rule #1 is NO GOOGLING! You can ask the cluegiver for a hint, but don't just look it up. It should come from the recesses of your spongy grey matter.

When you guess it correctly, why not post a YouTube link so the rest of us can enjoy the tune as well?

Have fun, you Rock of Agers!

It was a little blue and white player with a built-in FM tuner and it sounded amazingly good for only costing about $25 back then.

My first three tapes I bought to go with it were Yes' 90125, Genesis' eponymous 1983 album with 'Mama' and 'That's All' on it, and Duran Duran's Seven and the Ragged Tiger.

This came out while music videos and MTV was brand new and everybody was still figuring it out. They started out as mostly low-budget green-screen crap. But as they became more popular, more money was put into them and real directors were hired (think John Landis in 'Thriller'). Eventually people realized that the video was an important part of the whole package and a good/memorable video could help give the artist/song/album wider exposure and higher sales.

I'll bet that some money was budgeted for the video before the concept even arose and they were sitting around wondering what to do. Finally, some brilliant soul said:

'Has anybody done a WWII themed video yet? Like, we could have Pat up there in a fighter plane, shooting down Nazis. We've got the money for it.'

'Yes, but what does that have to do with the song?'

'Who gives a shit? Nobody's going to care about that. Pat up there in a plane is a great image. Let's go for it. Plus we could hire this Bill Paxton guy to be one of the Nazis. This kid is going places!'

Hear the thunder in your brain

Better pull yourself back together, maybe you've got too much cash.

And maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control
And everyone has recourse to the law
And no one kills the children anymore.

Actually "The Real Thing" is the Faith No More album that I listen to the least (except for the non Patton stuff). I like "Angel Dust" the best, and ,although "King For A Day" and "Album of The Year" are somewhat hit and miss, they're awesome when they get things right.
