(even though she is water/bath-averse) and couldn't get closer to me when I sit or lie down if she tried.
It is usually a sign of pain in animals to be so clingy, but I think many are genuinely unnerved and picking up on our anxiety.

One of my cats also likes getting into pulled down pants. He however snuggles down for a nap.

When mine was a tiny thing of 9 weeks old, she snuggled up under my chin at night and tried to suckle my neck. When I gently moved her face away, she switched to my ear lobe, purring loudly into my ear the whole time. She missed her mama and it took a few weeks for her to outgrow the suckling attempts.
