Folks,

Its the same here: foxes, deer, squirrels, pigeons, and brown rats. We don't have raccoons here in the UK, but if we did they would be looking in at the window.

They look cute, but they are devils. They can do a lot of damage with their human-like hands.

I've been trying to trap this guy for a couple weeks . . . no luck. He's too damn smart and he can easily take food out of the freaking raccoon trap. I think he's laughing at me.

I love looking at Youtube videos of smart raccoons. TBH there are videos of all kinds of smart animals. One of my faves is the intelligent octopus series.

I wish I had made that placard to put near my bird feeder window now. I could take a picture of it and post it online. I never had time to make it though. Too busy making stuff that was usable in the house.

I always wanted to make a little placard like you see at the zoo and put it under my window where the bird feeder is. It started as a joke when my aunt saw a snake looking in the window. It had it's front part up in the air like cobra does and was turning its head from side to side looking in her bedroom window. We have a squirrel who does that too.

The placard I wanted to make would have had information about humans. Now, we all need one of those for our windows. The animals taking over the cities could look at the "zoo animals" in our cages while they roam free, lol.

how to "raccoon proof" your bird feeders without killing the raccoons. It is in the raccoon comedy section. There is no such possibility. The things sold as "raccoon proof" are a joke. Books detailing ways to outsmart a raccoon are jokes too. I finally just used jute twine to tie by bird feeder to the holder and they don't carry it off into the jungle back there any more. Compromise. It works with them. It is all I have found that will work, if you don't want to hurt them. I freaking love the annoying little shits.
