Snowbank the peacock escaped from the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston
(CNN)The Franklin Park Zoo in Boston welcomed back an escaped peacock thanks to the quick thinking of a Boston police officer.
Officers patrolling in the Roxbury area early Monday were approached by a person who said an animal may have escaped from the zoo.
They "were met by an extremely large, slightly intimidating, and quite beautiful, male peacock," police said.

I can't help it. I saw the headline and that thought entered my head. It will take a long time to get that out of my head.

He has taken over their gazeebo they used to use for breaks. I used to drive by there to see him often.
He's been there for years.

And they are awesome and lovely ...
They live in a peacock palace ... my favorite male was killed by raccoons several years ago ... he would follow me everywhere and eat from my hand ... he loved to ride in the car ... would look around in wonder at the world passing by ...
