After all her caring work to get him healthy, it will just become the victim of a hawk, cat or lawn mower.

I had a pet mouse when I was a kid, I bought him at a store. I named him Franklin D Roosevelt and he was quite friendly, he especially loved the wheel that was in his cage. I even brought him with me when I went away to school...

Who insisted on mouse-trapping a tiny critter we had visiting our kitchen counters a few yrs ago. I didn't wanna kill it.

that my cats catch and put them outside. No doubt most come right back in. Last winter one cat caught a mouse. I got it away from the cat and it was limp and not breathing. I thought, "Well, maybe I can give it mouse CPR." So I did just that, after a few seconds the mouse's eyes flew open and he gave a big gasp. I held him in my hand for a few more minutes for him to calm down, then I put him outside.
