With the restrictions being lifted in Michigan, I got my babysitting job back

I babysit for a single parent who works as a bartender. She lost her job when bars were shut down back in March but the place opened back up Monday and I'm babysitting again. $4 an hour. Not much but it covers the weekly grocery bill.

I first babysat the guy when he was just 2 weeks old and now he's walking. Even though he hadn't been here in 2 1/2 months, he recognized me and my wife and settled right in. A happy camper who laughs a lot and listens!

Time goes by quickly and I'll soon no longer be able to care for him on a consistent basis as I'm 61 and disabled. I have several grandchildren, most aged 4-6, and I can only watch them occasionally as they just wear me right down.

I'm going to be watching the Happy Camper and two of the grandsons Thursday and while that will be fun, I know I'll be thankful when 5 p.m. arrives that day!
