Gerry And The Pacemakers Lyrics
"Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying"
Don't let the sun catch you cryin'
The night's the time for all your tears
Your heart may be broken tonight
But tomorrow in the morning light
Don't let the sun catch you cryin'
The night-time shadows disappear
And with them go all your tears
For the morning will bring joy
For every girl and boy
So don't let the sun catch you cryin'
We know that cryin's not a bad thing
But stop your cryin' when the birds sing
It may be hard to discover
That you've been left for another
But don't forget that love's a game
And it can always come again
Oh don't let the sun catch you cryin'
Don't let the sun catch you cryin', oh no

(23,105 posts)I was 12 and thought my heart was broken and this song captured my feelings. Those times were so innocent and free for a child compared to today's world.

(34,111 posts)Every now and then I will go to YouTube and listen to a bunch of those British groups from those days. Some silly and some just fun of course and some really rocking but some of the most beautiful songs as well.
I just read that this song was written by Louis Jordan, the same guy that wrote and performed Caldonia, we named one of our dogs after that song. He covered all the bases with his music. Did not know this until now, thanks!
