rated Wendy's as the best, so I thought I'd drop in for the first time in years.

(Cue mandatory whining about corporate burger joints)

It was godawful. The fries were apparently days old, and cold. Tossed them into the parking lot and even the seagulls wouldn't touch them. One crow tried, and gave up.

The burger itself was barely edible, but I was hungry enough to get it down. The diet Coke had almost no ice, and didn't really taste like Coke.

Wasted seven bucks.

I no longer lust after Irish Girl.

Wendy's gets very little of my business because they hardly ever put out coupons. I get scads of coupons from Hardees, Burger King, Arby's, and Captain D's, but none from Wendy's, Dairy Queen, or Taco Bell.

The last time I had a Wendy's hamburger I nearly choked on how salty it tasted. WOW. I'm guessing this is intentional to get you to buy more and bigger soft drinks?

I don't add a lot of salt to anything I cook so maybe I am just sensitive, but, WOW.

will say the breakfast baconator sandwich is really pretty good. good fries are tough to get anywhere anymore. I seem to have forgotten when the food service changed and decided fries should have texture of noodles. I remember when you bit a french fry, there was actually a crunch! Damn Im old.

8. Burger King

Today I had Door Dash bring me a double whopper with French fries and a large coke (I never drink soft drinks, btw)) Man, it was so good. I got tired of stew and spaghetti and roast chicken and all those healthy home cooked foods. I needed some GREASE by golly, and it was fantastic!
