I just googled and found that there is a statue of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, And the big bopper in Green Bay Wisconsin.

Why in the world is it there? Buddy Holly and big bopper are from Texas, Ritchie Valens was from California. And Iowa is where their plane went down.

Nothing against Wisconsin. I love cheese. But does anybody know what this is?

At the Riverside Ballroom. In fact, outside of Green Bay was where their bus broke down and Holly decided to charter the plane out of Clear Lake, Iowa the next night. Here's a great article talking about the impact that concert in Green Bay still has today:

Interestingly, the person who made the Green Bay statue is also responsible for the statue in Clear Lake that memorializes the crash site.
