I remember watching a very interesting documentary film about her. It must have been 35 or 40 years ago. It was called, as I recall, "Viktoria Mullova: Welcome to the West". She was a Russian violin prodigy and the film was about her defection from the Soviet Union. This is the first mention I've heard of her since almost that long ago.

And whaddayaknow, she's right there. Quite a few of her performances, some of them recent, and the documentary film itself. The whole film, all one hour and nine minutes of it. I'll watch it tonight some time.

YouTube and Google are such incredible investigatory tools.
