who frequently plays for friends in musicals or whatever I just really related and loved Waiting for Guffman. If you have not seen it than try to. The last time I saw it I was in the middle of playing in a musical for a friend that was not even as good as the one in this movie. We all keep each other in silly jobs to have fun and keep local people performing.

not sure it fits your idea of drama. I loved Frances Ha. We The Animals, Charite At War, Im No Longer Here

Have you seen Roma?

I just love movies that are like a window into another time and/or place.

"Derry Girls" and "Schitts Creek" for comedy.

Dang I think Ive watched everything there is on Netflix. Do you have any suggestions for ME?

Some of my favorites:

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
A Fish Called Wanda
Waking Ned Devine
Ruthless People (Danny DeVito & Bette Midler)
The Jerk
The Man With Two Brains (also Steve Martin)
Big Business (Bette Midler & Lily Tomlin)
Any of the Airplane! Naked Gun or Hot Shots movies
Any of the Monty Python Films
Any of the Pink Panther Films
Any Hitchcock Film
Saving Grace (Brenda Blethyn, Craig Ferguson)
Charade
The Full Monty
Harold and Maude
Horrible Bosses
The older Woody Allen movies (Annie Hall, Take the Money & Run, Sleeper, Love & Death, Bananas, etc)

Those are most of my comedy recommendations, I have a lot more drama, period piece (Jane Austen, Bronte Sisters, Oscar Wilde, etc.), old films from 1930-1960, but the list is too exhaustive. These are just a few of my favorites in comedy (w/ the exception of Hitchcock). Hopefully you will find something you like!

watched Burlesque with Cher. Was a 6 on a scale of 10 but my wife liked it so it wasn't a great loss of time.

Had binged on 11-22-63 last week and was really let down with the plot and the ending. I thought Steven King was better than that.

Thank you for all the suggestions, now to work my way through them.
