"Hamilton" Fans - Must See

I saw this fascinating analysis in the Wall Street Journal about breaking down the complex rhyming schemes in Hamilton

http://graphics.wsj.com/hamilton/

It uses graphical computer analysis to show rhyming sounds throughout the text rather than just old fashion "rhyme-the-last-word" style. It also does similar analysis on relevant rap songs that have been cited as influences to Miranda and you can see the similarities.

I have always admired the complex rhyming schemes that Miranda uses and I think it makes the musical brilliant. I also love data visualization so this is a match made in heaven for me.

I found it to be mesmerizing.

Turns out this was published back in 2016 and I never saw it. But so many more people have seen it now, it deserves some more attention. I figure it is worth a bounce due to the recent Disney+ release.

Tell me what you think.

H makes the performer lose all their breath.

Heard that on a Fresh Air interview with Lin. I think it was Marvin Hamlisch who advised him on that.

The article was very interesting and informative. Hamilton is my favorite musical of all time and Lin Manuel Miranda is just too amazing! At the end of the article, I plugged in my own words to rap, lol. Needless to say, I am NOT destined for rap stardom but really did enjoy the process anyway!
