It was mixed with equal parts of purple.... lovely. Needless to say I got rid of it.

the sheets are square, you can still get 1,000 sheets of Marcal, but smaller ones.

used to only be able to stack rolls 2 high in cupboard by toilet, now I can do 3 and even wedge some on top of those if I squeeze them a bit flat.

also check out diameters of the cardboard tubes if ya happen to have any old crafts from kids a decade or so ago

I understand that they are trying to save trees, but it makes them less useful if you have a re-use for them.

My husband likes to store extension cords in toilet paper and paper towel tubes. Now the tubes are too flimsy to put any pressure on from inside so as soon as he tries to shove the folded up cord into one. Some of the old ones we have are really sturdy and have lasted decades. The new ones aren't even good for one use.

The house was built in the mid 60's. I'm trying to come up with an economic way to update it.

Oh, and the toilet paper is much narrower. I hadn't noticed that. Now I'm irked!!!

A gallon or qiart of ice cream are no longer a gallon or quart. Less in the same size container by 2-4 oz.,

Same with canned goods. A can of corn or peaches, etc used to be 16oz (1 lb). Now they're 14 oz or less. Even though manufactures, suppliers continue to raise prices, the size of the product continues to shrink.

I think they don't think we notice.

I notice it with cereal, especially. Same price, less product. It's the American way. Screw the consumer because we are sheep.

Reduce the volume per package by 10% = Profit, profit, profit.
